File Sharing Servers
AEx offers this solution, which allows you to share files and applications across your network which improves coordination and efficiency by staff.
Network Backup Servers
Its no doubt your data is a valuable asset to your organization. If you would like to protect your computers from data loss, the solution is a network backup server. A network backup server will backup all data specified on the client machines at a scheduled time.
Benefits
- In case of an emergency requiring restoration of backup, the amount of time spent recovering from the down time is minimized
- Backup processes can easily be configured to run at any time of your choice. For example, you can schedule daily, weekly, or monthly backups of your computer workstations
- Backup media can be removable and portable which is a safer approach. For example you may use tape drives, optical media (CD-R, CD-RW, DVD), removable hard disks (external hard drives)
Network Domain Controllers
If you have two or more computers in your office, it is highly recommended that you install a network domain controller. A domain controller is a computer system that primarily handles login requests for all computers in your network.
Benefits
- You have centralized logins, which reduces your administrative tasks since computer account maintenance is handled from the server side
- You are able to manage roaming profiles. One user can access their desktop and PC resources from a different computer that may or may not be in the same building
- For automation purposes, you can store scripts on this server. For example, an anti-virus script may be run when a computer is started
The advantage is that the user's data is always available regardless of the workstation they are using.
Print Servers
A print server allows your all users on your network to share a printer. The benefits of this is that you do not have to buy many printers for each department. One central printer can be used for all.
